Stillwater holiday events and Christmas traditions

Downtown Stillwater’s Hometown for the Holidays brings seasonal shopping and celebrations to Main Street and the St. Croix riverfront. Discover Stillwater lists the 2026 celebration for December, including tree lighting, a pet parade and a gingerbread house building contest. Visit Discover Stillwater’s current event guide for the schedule as details are released.

Earlier holiday calendars on this site included Victorian carolers, Lowell Inn holiday tea, wagon rides, scavenger hunts and Santa activities. These are traditions from prior editions, including the 2023 holiday guide; their dates and availability are not confirmed here for 2026.
